The Halifax Class is a series of multi-role patrol frigates used by the Royal Canadian Navy. Designed for anti-submarine warfare, these ships are equipped with advanced sonar systems and weapons, making them effective in maritime security operations. The class was first commissioned in the early 1990s and has undergone various upgrades to enhance their capabilities.
Each Halifax Class frigate is approximately 134 meters long and can carry a crew of around 225 personnel. They are named after Canadian cities, with the lead ship being HMCS Halifax. These vessels play a crucial role in Canada's naval defense strategy and international maritime missions.
