Hair Follicles
Hair follicles are tiny structures in the skin that produce hair. Each follicle is a small pouch that anchors the hair strand and is located in the dermis layer of the skin. They play a crucial role in the hair growth cycle, which includes phases like anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (resting).
Inside each hair follicle, there are specialized cells that help in the formation of hair. The follicle also contains sebaceous glands that produce oil, keeping the hair and scalp moisturized. Proper care of hair follicles is essential for healthy hair growth and overall scalp health.
