Haifaa Al-Mansour
Haifaa Al-Mansour is a Saudi Arabian filmmaker and the first woman to direct a feature film in Saudi Arabia. She gained international recognition for her 2012 film, Wadjda, which tells the story of a young girl who dreams of owning a bicycle in a conservative society. Al-Mansour's work often explores themes of gender and social issues in the Arab world.
