Hachiman
Hachiman is a deity in Japanese mythology, primarily associated with war and archery. He is often revered as the protector of the samurai and is considered a guardian of the Japanese people. Hachiman is frequently depicted as a warrior, wearing traditional armor and carrying a bow and arrows. His worship is particularly prominent in the Shinto religion, where he is honored at various shrines across Japan.
The most famous shrine dedicated to Hachiman is the Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū in Kamakura. Hachiman is also linked to the Emperor Ojin, who is often regarded as his human incarnation. Festivals and rituals honoring Hachiman are held to seek his blessings for victory in battle and protection from misfortune.
