Hachi
Hachi is a famous Akita dog known for his remarkable loyalty. He was born in 1923 in Japan and became well-known for waiting at the Shibuya Station for his owner, Hidesaburo Ueno, who passed away in 1925. Despite his owner's death, Hachi continued to return to the station every day for nearly ten years, hoping to see him again.
Hachi's story touched many hearts and became a symbol of loyalty and devotion. A bronze statue of Hachi was erected at Shibuya Station in 1934 to honor him. His life inspired books and films, including the popular movie "Hachi: A Dog's Tale."
