HMS Resolution
HMS Resolution was a British Royal Navy ship launched in 1770. It was a third-rate ship of the line, meaning it was equipped with 74 guns and designed for naval warfare. The ship is best known for its role in the American Revolutionary War and later in the Napoleonic Wars.
The ship was named after the concept of resolution, symbolizing determination and commitment. HMS Resolution served in various naval battles and was involved in significant naval operations during its active years. It was eventually broken up in 1813 after a long and distinguished service.
