HMS Ocean
HMS Ocean was a helicopter carrier of the Royal Navy, commissioned in 1998. It was designed to support amphibious operations and could carry a variety of aircraft, including Chinook and Apache helicopters. The ship had a flight deck and a well deck for landing and launching vehicles and troops.
In 2018, HMS Ocean was decommissioned after two decades of service. It played a significant role in various operations, including humanitarian missions and military exercises. The ship was sold to Brazil, where it was renamed PHM Atlântico and continues to serve in a similar capacity.
