HMS Furious
HMS Furious was a British aircraft carrier that served during World War I and World War II. Launched in 1917, she was originally designed as a battlecruiser but was converted to an aircraft carrier in the 1920s. HMS Furious played a significant role in the development of naval aviation, being one of the first ships to operate aircraft from her deck.
During her service, HMS Furious participated in various operations, including attacks on German naval bases. She was notable for her innovative flight deck design, which allowed for the launch and recovery of aircraft. The ship was eventually decommissioned in 1948 and scrapped in 1950.
