HMAS Hobart
HMAS Hobart is a guided missile destroyer of the Royal Australian Navy, commissioned in 2017. It is the third ship to bear the name, honoring the city of Hobart, Tasmania. The vessel is part of the Air Warfare Destroyer program and is designed to provide air defense, anti-surface, and anti-submarine capabilities.
The ship is equipped with advanced radar and weapon systems, including the Aegis Combat System and SM-2 missiles. With a length of 147 meters and a displacement of around 7,000 tons, HMAS Hobart can operate in various maritime environments, supporting both national and international missions.
