Gypsy Rose Lee
Gypsy Rose Lee was an American burlesque performer, actress, and author, born on January 8, 1911, in Seattle, Washington. She gained fame in the 1930s and 1940s for her unique style of striptease, which combined humor and sophistication. Lee was known for her wit and charm, making her performances more than just displays of nudity.
In addition to her stage career, Lee wrote an autobiography titled Gypsy, which was later adapted into a successful Broadway musical and film.
