Guyana Defence Force
The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) is the military organization responsible for the defense of Guyana, a country located on the northeastern coast of South America. Established in 1965, the GDF consists of the Army, Air Corps, and Coast Guard, and its primary mission is to protect the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In addition to its defense role, the GDF also engages in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. The force participates in regional security initiatives and collaborates with other countries to enhance security and stability in the Caribbean region.
