Gujjar
The Gujjar community is primarily found in northern India, particularly in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Traditionally, they are known as a pastoral and agricultural group, often engaged in livestock rearing and farming. Over time, many Gujjars have also taken up various professions, including government jobs and business.
Gujjars are recognized for their distinct cultural identity, which includes unique customs, music, and attire. They speak the Gujjari language, a dialect of Hindi, and are often associated with the Gujjar caste in the Indian social structure. The community has a rich history and plays a significant role in the socio-economic landscape of the regions they inhabit.
