Guinea pig
The guinea pig is a small, domesticated rodent native to the Andes mountains in South America. They are popular pets known for their friendly nature and social behavior. Guinea pigs typically weigh between 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and have a lifespan of about 4 to 6 years.
These animals are herbivores, primarily eating hay, fresh vegetables, and specially formulated pellets. Guinea pigs are also known for their vocalizations, which include chirps, whistles, and purrs, allowing them to communicate with each other and their owners. They thrive in pairs or groups, as they are social creatures.
