Green Treefrog
The Green Treefrog is a small amphibian commonly found in the southeastern United States. It typically measures about 2 to 3 inches in length and is known for its vibrant green color, which helps it blend into its leafy surroundings. These frogs are often seen perched on vegetation near ponds, swamps, and marshes.
Green Treefrogs are nocturnal and are most active at night. They feed on insects and other small invertebrates. Their distinctive call, a series of loud, high-pitched notes, can often be heard during the breeding season, attracting mates and establishing territory.
