Greek Armed Forces
The Greek Armed Forces consist of three main branches: the Hellenic Army, the Hellenic Navy, and the Hellenic Air Force. They are responsible for defending Greece's territory and sovereignty, as well as participating in international peacekeeping missions. The forces are well-trained and equipped, with a focus on both conventional and asymmetric warfare.
The Greek Armed Forces operate under the Ministry of National Defense and are supported by a reserve system. Greece is a member of NATO, which enhances its military capabilities through cooperation and joint exercises with other member countries. The armed forces also play a role in disaster response and humanitarian assistance.
