Grant's Gazelle
Grant's Gazelle is a medium-sized antelope found in eastern and southern Africa. It is known for its slender body, long legs, and distinctive black stripe along its side. Males typically weigh between 40 to 50 kg, while females are slightly lighter. Their coat is tan with white underparts, and both sexes have curved horns, which can reach up to 90 cm in males.
These gazelles are social animals, often seen in herds that can range from a few individuals to several hundred. They primarily graze on grasses and are well-adapted to their savanna habitats, using their speed and agility to escape predators like lions and hyenas.
