Grandma Moses, born Anna Mary Robertson in 1860, was an American folk artist known for her vibrant paintings depicting rural life. She began painting in her 70s, using her art to express memories of her childhood and the landscapes of New York where she lived. Her work gained popularity, leading to exhibitions and recognition.
Despite starting her artistic career late in life, Grandma Moses became a symbol of creativity and perseverance.
