Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna
Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna was born on August 26, 1847, in Copenhagen, Denmark, as Princess Dagmar. She was the daughter of King Christian IX of Denmark and became the wife of Tsar Alexander III of Russia. Maria Feodorovna played a significant role in Russian society and was known for her charitable work and support of the arts.
After the death of her husband in 1894, she became known for her strong character and resilience. Maria Feodorovna was a key figure in the Russian imperial family until the fall of the monarchy in 1917. She spent her later years in exile, passing away on October 13, 1928, in Hesse, Germany.
