Graham Bell
Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish-born inventor, scientist, and teacher, best known for inventing the first practical telephone. Born on March 3, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland, he moved to the United States in 1870. Bell's work focused on communication, particularly for the deaf, as his mother and wife were both hard of hearing.
In 1876, Bell famously made the first successful telephone call, saying, "Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you." His invention revolutionized communication and laid the foundation for modern telecommunications. Bell's contributions extend beyond the telephone; he also worked on aeronautics and hydrofoils.
