Goygol Lake
Goygol Lake is a stunning natural lake located in the Goygol National Park of Azerbaijan. It is situated at an elevation of about 1,556 meters (5,105 feet) above sea level and is known for its striking blue color, which is a result of the mineral content in the water. The lake was formed by a massive earthquake in the 12th century, which caused a landslide that blocked the flow of the Goygol River.
Surrounded by lush forests and picturesque mountains, Goygol Lake is a popular destination for nature lovers and tourists. The area offers various recreational activities, including hiking, picnicking, and photography. The serene environment and breathtaking views make it a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of nature.
