Governor of Texas
The Governor of Texas is the head of the state government and is responsible for overseeing the executive branch. This position is elected by Texas residents every four years and can serve an unlimited number of terms. The governor has the power to sign or veto legislation, appoint state officials, and manage state agencies.
In addition to these duties, the governor plays a key role in responding to emergencies, such as natural disasters. The governor also represents Texas in national matters and works with the Texas Legislature to create and implement state policies.
