Goran Ivanišević
Goran Ivanišević is a retired Croatian professional tennis player, born on September 13, 1971, in Split, Croatia. He is best known for winning the Wimbledon singles title in 2001, becoming the first wildcard entry to achieve this feat. Throughout his career, Ivanišević was known for his powerful serve and left-handed play, which made him a formidable opponent on the court.
Ivanišević turned professional in 1988 and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2 in 1996. He won a total of 22 ATP singles titles and represented Croatia in several international competitions, including the Davis Cup. After retiring from professional play, he transitioned to coaching and has worked with various players, including Novak Djokovic.
