Gomeroi Language
The Gomeroi language, also known as Gamilaraay, is an Indigenous Australian language spoken by the Gomeroi people in the region of northern New South Wales and southern Queensland. It is part of the Pama-Nyungan language family and has a rich cultural significance, reflecting the traditions and history of its speakers.
Efforts to revitalize the Gomeroi language have been ongoing, with community programs and educational initiatives aimed at teaching younger generations. Resources such as dictionaries and language courses are being developed to preserve and promote the use of Gomeroi in everyday life.
