Golden Pheasant
The Golden Pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus) is a striking bird native to the forests of central and western China. Known for its vibrant plumage, the male features bright yellow and red feathers, along with a long, flowing tail. Females, in contrast, have more subdued brown and tan colors, which help them blend into their surroundings.
This species primarily feeds on seeds, fruits, and insects. Golden Pheasants are ground-dwelling birds that prefer to stay hidden in dense underbrush. They are often kept in captivity for ornamental purposes and are popular in aviculture due to their stunning appearance.
