Gog and Magog
Gog and Magog are figures found in various religious texts, including the Bible and the Quran. They are often depicted as nations or peoples that will rise against the faithful in a final battle, symbolizing chaos and opposition to divine order. In the Book of Ezekiel, Gog is described as a leader from the land of Magog, who will gather forces to attack Israel.
In Islamic tradition, Gog and Magog, known as Yajuj and Majuj, are also seen as destructive forces that will emerge before the Day of Judgment. They are said to be trapped behind a barrier built by Dhul-Qarnayn, a figure often associated with a great ruler. Their release is believed to bring about significant turmoil and conflict.
