Goaltenders
Goaltenders, also known as goalkeepers, are players in sports like hockey and soccer whose primary role is to prevent the opposing team from scoring. They stand in front of the goal and use their bodies, gloves, and sticks to block shots. Goaltenders must have quick reflexes and strong decision-making skills to react to fast-moving balls or pucks.
In addition to blocking shots, goaltenders often communicate with their teammates to organize defensive strategies. They can also initiate offensive plays by passing the ball or puck to defenders or forwards. Their performance can significantly influence the outcome of a game.
