Go-Go's
The Go-Go's are an all-female rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. They are known for their catchy pop melodies and energetic performances. The band's original lineup included Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine, and Gina Schock. They gained fame with their debut album, "Beauty and the Beat," which topped the Billboard charts in 1981.
The Go-Go's were pioneers in the music industry, being one of the first all-female bands to write and perform their own songs. Their influence can be seen in the work of many later artists, and they have been recognized for their contributions to the new wave and punk rock genres.
