Globulins
Globulins are a group of proteins found in blood plasma that play essential roles in various bodily functions. They are classified into three main types: alpha, beta, and gamma globulins. These proteins are involved in immune responses, transporting nutrients, and maintaining osmotic pressure in the blood.
Gamma globulins, in particular, are crucial for the immune system as they include antibodies that help fight infections. Globulins are produced mainly in the liver and immune system, and their levels can be measured through blood tests to assess health and diagnose conditions such as liver disease or immune disorders.
