Giraffe Interaction
Giraffes are social animals that often interact with each other in groups called towers. They communicate through a variety of vocalizations, body language, and even by using their long necks to engage in gentle head-butting. These interactions help establish social hierarchies and strengthen bonds within the group.
In addition to social interactions, giraffes also engage with their environment. They use their long tongues, which can be up to 18 inches, to reach leaves and fruits high in trees. This feeding behavior not only sustains them but also plays a role in the ecosystem by helping to prune trees and promote new growth.
