Giovanni Pisano
Giovanni Pisano was an Italian sculptor and architect born around 1250, known for his significant contributions to the Italian Gothic style. He was the son of the famous sculptor Niccolò Pisano and worked primarily in Tuscany. Giovanni is celebrated for his expressive figures and intricate reliefs, which can be seen in his works on the Pisa Cathedral and the Siena Cathedral.
His most notable works include the Pulpit of the Pisa Baptistery and the Pulpit of the Siena Cathedral, both showcasing his skill in combining naturalism with decorative elements.
