Gila monsters
The Gila monster is a large, venomous lizard native to the southwestern United States and parts of Mexico. It has a distinctive appearance, featuring a stout body covered in black scales with bright orange or yellow patterns. Gila monsters are primarily nocturnal and spend much of their time underground in burrows.
These lizards are known for their slow movement and can grow up to 2 feet long. They primarily feed on small mammals, birds, and eggs. The venom of the Gila monster is delivered through grooves in their teeth, which helps them subdue prey and defend themselves from predators.
