Giant Jellyfish
The Giant Jellyfish, scientifically known as *Mastigias papua*, is one of the largest jellyfish species in the world. It can grow up to 2 meters (6.5 feet) in diameter and weigh over 200 kilograms (440 pounds). These jellyfish are typically found in warm ocean waters, particularly in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
Giant jellyfish have a bell-shaped body and long, trailing tentacles that can extend several meters. They primarily feed on small fish and plankton, using their stinging cells to capture prey. Despite their size, they are mostly harmless to humans, although their stings can cause discomfort.
