Gheg Language
The Gheg language is a dialect of the Albanian language, primarily spoken in northern Albania and parts of Kosovo. It is one of the two main dialects of Albanian, the other being Tosk. Gheg features distinct phonetic, grammatical, and vocabulary differences from Tosk, reflecting the diverse cultural influences in the region.
Gheg is used by various communities, including the Gheg Albanians, who have a rich tradition of oral literature and folklore. The dialect plays a significant role in the identity of its speakers and is often associated with the historical and cultural heritage of northern Albania and the surrounding areas.
