Geryon
Geryon is a figure from Greek mythology, often depicted as a giant with three bodies or heads. He is known as a monstrous creature who lived on the island of Erytheia, which is associated with the western edge of the known world. Geryon was the son of Chrysaor and Callirhoe, and he is most famous for guarding a herd of red cattle.
In the myth of Heracles, Geryon is one of the challenges faced during the hero's Twelve Labors. Heracles was tasked with stealing Geryon's cattle, which required him to defeat the giant and his two-headed dog, Orthrus. This encounter highlights Geryon's role as a symbol of formidable strength and the obstacles that heroes must overcome.
