German Olympic Sports Confederation
The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) is the umbrella organization for sports in Germany. It was formed in 2006 by merging the German Olympic Committee and the German Sports Federation. The DOSB is responsible for promoting and supporting Olympic sports, coordinating training, and organizing competitions for athletes across the country.
The confederation also plays a key role in representing Germany in international sports organizations and events, including the Olympic Games. It works to enhance the development of sports at all levels, from grassroots to elite, and aims to foster a healthy and active lifestyle among the population.
