Georgia state government
The Georgia state government is the governing body of the U.S. state of Georgia. It operates under a constitution and is divided into three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch is led by the Governor, who is elected for a four-year term. The legislative branch consists of a bicameral General Assembly, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The judicial branch interprets laws and is made up of various courts, including the Supreme Court of Georgia. The state government is responsible for creating and enforcing laws, managing public services, and overseeing education and transportation within the state.
