Georges Arnaud
Georges Arnaud was a French author born on April 24, 1917, in Paris. He is best known for his novel "The Wages of Fear" ("Le Salaire de la Peur"), published in 1950. The book explores themes of risk and desperation as it follows a group of men hired to transport a dangerous cargo of nitroglycerin through treacherous terrain.
Arnaud's work gained significant recognition and was adapted into a successful film in 1953, directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot. This adaptation further solidified his reputation in literature and cinema. Arnaud continued to write until his death on September 2, 2005.
