George Sanders was a British actor, born on July 3, 1906, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He became well-known for his distinctive voice and suave demeanor, often portraying sophisticated villains in films during the 1940s and 1950s. Some of his notable works include roles in All About Eve and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. In addition to acting, Sanders was also a writer and a singer. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in All About Eve. Despite his success, he struggled with personal issues and ultimately took his own life on April 25, 1972.
