George Plantagenet
George Plantagenet, born in 1449, was the Duke of Clarence and a member of the English royal family. He was the son of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York and Cecily Neville, making him a brother to both Edward IV and Richard III. George was known for his ambitious nature and shifting loyalties during the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne.
His desire for power led to conflicts with his brothers, particularly Edward IV. In 1478, George was executed for treason, allegedly drowned in a barrel of wine. His death marked a significant moment in the turbulent history of the Plantagenet dynasty.
