Geographic Engineering
Geographic Engineering, also known as geoengineering, refers to the deliberate manipulation of the Earth's environment to counteract climate change. This can involve techniques such as solar radiation management, which aims to reflect sunlight away from the Earth, or carbon capture and storage, which seeks to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
These methods are still largely experimental and raise ethical and environmental concerns. Proponents argue that they could provide quick solutions to climate issues, while critics warn of potential unintended consequences. Ongoing research aims to better understand the risks and benefits associated with these interventions.
