Genseric
Genseric was a prominent king of the Vandals, ruling from 428 to 477 AD. He is best known for leading his people from Spain to North Africa, where he established a powerful kingdom. Under his leadership, the Vandals became a significant maritime power, capturing the city of Carthage in 455 AD, which allowed them to control key trade routes in the Mediterranean.
Genseric's reign is marked by his military prowess and strategic alliances. He was also known for his role in the decline of the Western Roman Empire, as his forces conducted raids along the coasts of Italy and Greece. His legacy includes the establishment of the Vandal Kingdom, which lasted until the Byzantine reconquest in the 6th century.
