Gemini Observatory
The Gemini Observatory is a network of two identical telescopes located in Hawaii and Chile. These telescopes are designed to observe celestial objects in various wavelengths, allowing astronomers to study the universe in greater detail. Each telescope has a primary mirror measuring 8.1 meters in diameter, making them among the largest optical telescopes in the world.
The observatory is operated by an international partnership, including countries like the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. It plays a crucial role in advancing our understanding of astronomy and astrophysics by providing valuable data for research and discoveries in the field.
