Ganga Snan
Ganga Snan refers to the ritual bathing in the sacred river Ganga, which is considered one of the holiest rivers in Hinduism. Devotees believe that taking a dip in its waters purifies the soul, washes away sins, and brings spiritual merit. This practice is especially significant during religious festivals and events, such as the Kumbh Mela.
The act of Ganga Snan is often accompanied by prayers and offerings to deities. Many pilgrims travel to various ghats, or riverbanks, along the Ganga, such as those in Varanasi and Haridwar, to perform this sacred ritual, seeking blessings and spiritual renewal.
