A Game Master (often abbreviated as GM) is a person who organizes and oversees a tabletop role-playing game (RPG). They create the game world, narrate the story, and control the non-player characters (NPCs), guiding players through their adventures. The GM is responsible for ensuring that the game runs smoothly and that all players are engaged and having fun.
In addition to storytelling, the GM also interprets the rules of the game, making decisions on how to resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during play. This role requires creativity, adaptability, and a good understanding of the game mechanics to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
