Gamble Plantation
Gamble Plantation is a historic site located in Ellenton, Florida. Built in the mid-19th century, it served as a sugar plantation and is one of the few remaining antebellum structures in the state. The plantation house, designed in the Greek Revival style, showcases the architectural features of that era and reflects the agricultural history of the region.
Today, Gamble Plantation is preserved as a state park and offers guided tours to educate visitors about its history and the life of its original owner, Major Robert Gamble. The site also hosts various events and programs that highlight Florida's cultural heritage.
