Gallus Anonymus
Gallus Anonymus was a medieval chronicler known for his work on the history of Poland. He is believed to have written in the early 12th century, and his most notable work is the "Chronica Polonorum," which chronicles the history of the Polish state from its legendary origins to the reign of Bolesław III Wrymouth.
His writings are significant as they provide one of the earliest accounts of Polish history, blending historical facts with legends. Although little is known about his life, Gallus Anonymus is considered an important figure in the development of Polish historiography.
