Gallic Empire
The Gallic Empire was a breakaway state from the Roman Empire that existed from 260 to 274 AD. It emerged during a period of crisis in Rome, when the empire faced invasions and internal strife. The Gallic Empire included regions of modern-day France, Belgium, and parts of Germany, and was established by the general Postumus, who declared himself emperor.
The Gallic Empire had its own government, military, and currency, functioning independently from Rome. It lasted for about 14 years before being reabsorbed into the Roman Empire by the emperor Aurelian in 274 AD, marking the end of its brief existence.
