Galeão International Airport
Galeão International Airport, officially known as Aeroporto Internacional do Rio de Janeiro/Galeão, is the main international airport serving Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Located about 20 kilometers from the city center, it is a key hub for both domestic and international flights. The airport features two passenger terminals, offering various amenities such as shops, restaurants, and lounges.
Opened in 1970, Galeão has undergone several renovations to accommodate increasing passenger traffic. It serves as a base for several airlines, including LATAM Airlines and Gol Linhas Aéreas, and connects travelers to destinations across the globe.
