GP2 Series
The GP2 Series was a prominent open-wheel racing championship that served as a feeder series to Formula 1. Established in 2005, it aimed to develop young drivers and provide them with a platform to showcase their talent. The series featured single-seater cars with specifications designed to be similar to those used in F1, allowing drivers to gain valuable experience.
The GP2 Series operated until 2016, after which it was rebranded as the FIA Formula 2 Championship. Throughout its history, the series helped launch the careers of many successful drivers, including Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, who later achieved success in Formula 1.
