G1 Climax
The G1 Climax is an annual professional wrestling tournament held by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). It features top wrestlers competing in a round-robin format, divided into two blocks. The tournament typically takes place over several weeks during the summer, culminating in a final match to determine the winner.
Wrestlers earn points based on their match outcomes, with victories awarding two points and draws one point. The top competitors from each block advance to the finals, where the overall champion is crowned. Winning the G1 Climax often grants the victor a title shot at the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom event.
